The Centennial Campaign is an opportunity for BBYO’s long-time supporters to make philanthropy-defining gifts that will lead BBYO into a new century of impact.

The goal of the Centennial Campaign is to secure commitments of $200 million by June 2025. This includes new commitments of $70 million to BBYO’s endowment, bringing the total endowment to $100 million.

We hope that contributors to the Centennial Campaign will consider gifts that:

Go Above and Beyond

Provide support over and above your current giving level or make a first time donation.

Commit Over Time

A five-year commitment ensures long-term growth and enables BBYO to deploy resources more strategically.

Leave a Legacy

Make a commitment to BBYO’s endowment through current giving or through your estate.

INITIATIVES FOR THE NEXT CENTURY

Additional dollars raised as a result of the Centennial Campaign will support two initiatives—a Next Century Fund that will support high growth potential communities that are currently under capitalized and the establishment of the BBYO Alumni Association.

Next Century Fund

Gifts to this fund will be invested in high-growth potential communities, scholarship for more teens to attend leadership training programs, and new initiatives that expand BBYO's geographic reach. These funds will support the opening of dozens of new chapters each year while enabling BBYO to achieve membership growth of more than 5% annually for the next 5 years.

Alumni Association

The creation of the BBYO Alumni Association will serve as a platform to connect alumni of all ages. The Association will create new opportunities for alumni to stay engaged with BBYO through attending events (in-person and online), professional networking, and mentoring teen leaders. The Association will also support BBYO's philanthropic efforts. It is expected after 5 years, the Alumni Association will yield $2.5 million in new/increased donations with an annual increase thereafter of approximately 10%. 

With nearly half a million BBYO Alumni, there is tremendous power and opportunity in staying connected. Alumni will play a major role in BBYO's continuity and vitality in the next century.

Fund for the Future: BBYO’s Endowment

In 2013, BBYO established the Fund for the Future as a home for gifts and pledges designated to BBYO for endowment purposes. BBYO invites its supporters to consider endowment gifts, either through direct contributions, future commitments from one’s estate, or other planned giving vehicles. In addition to donations made directly to BBYO’s Fund for the Future, BBYO invites people to designate funds being held by in other Jewish or communal foundations for full gift credit.
